Placci will perform Mozart Violin Concerto n.5 in A Major with Maestro Günther Pichler and Haydn Orchester, in a series of concerts at the end of March 2012

After the success of the collaboration with the Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra of Milan for MITO Festival, Placci was invited back to perform again the Barber Concerto in the 2011/2012 Season.

Radio-Romania awarded Markus Placci with its "Honorary Prize" for his achievements in promoting Romanian culture in the world through the many perfromances of G. Enescu's 3rd Violin Sonata "In the Romanian popular style".
 
Markus Placci will perform the Barber Violin Concerto in three concerts in September 2010 with the Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra of Milan and Maestro Tenan as part of the MiTo Festival 2010 Season which also showcases the Gewandhaus Orchestra conducted by Riccardo Chailly, the Orchestre de Paris conducted by Lorin Maazel, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Philharmonia, Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, La Scala Philharmonic with Semyon Bychkov and Lang Lang, Frank Peter Zimmermann, Maurizio Pollini, Salvatore Accardo, Cecilia Bartoli, Jordi Savall...

With an eastern European program of works by Dvorak, Janacek, Bartok and Enescu, Markus Placci makes his Musica Insieme debut with pianist Orion Weiss, as part of a high profile 2009-2010 Concert Season with artists such as Gil Shaham, Krystian Zimerman, Lang Lang, Sarah Chang, Mischa Maisky.

After last year's recital debut at Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna, Markus Placci and pianist Roxana Bajdechi were invited back to play a recital in honor of Chopin, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Polish composer (1810-2010). The program will include Polish works by Szymanowski, Wieniawski, Lutoslawski and transcriptions of Chopin's Nocturnes.
